Epact: Scientific Instruments of Medieval and Renaissance Europe


	Prague

Prague, capital of Bohemia, was the site of the court of Emperor Rudolph II, which encouraged all manner of artists and craftsmen, as well as the astronomer Tycho Brahe. Two instrument makers who were attracted there in the late 16th century were Jost B?rgi, who had previously worked for Tycho, and Erasmus Habermel.
